The idea of saving muscle
I didn't know there was an idea to save muscle.
I like running, but honestly, I don't like muscle training.
I know it's fun when I build muscles, but it doesn't last because I feel tight.
But I'll do it. Muscle training, another purpose is
To increase basal metabolism.
When you add muscles, you increase your basal metabolism and promote calorie consumption, making your body less likely to fat.
I measure it daily with the body composition monitor, but now my basal metabolism is around 1400 kcal.
It weighs about 60 kg and has about 49% muscle mass.
Currently, I am 49 years old, but when I measure with a body composition monitor made by OMRON, the display shows that it is around 34 years old.
I'm pleased that I'm about 15 years younger than my current age.
I've been running and doing strength training just because I don't want to be fat, but today I learned about the impact.
When you are seriously injured, if you have a lot of muscles, the amino acids will be broken down, and your body will heal faster.
Listening to this story, I got a little motivated to do some muscle training that I don't like.
It happened that I liked running, so I was glad that I was able to accumulate muscle strength over my actual age, but I am more motivated when I hear about new effects.
I used to practice bodyweight training, but the rhythm of daily life has messed up due to the influence of COVID-19.
Since I haven't done much recently, I would like to make my bodyweight training a habit again, not just running.
