Nudge and exercise effects

Hi there, this is Ikupapa.

For me, the good thing about being an online community is that Nudge works.

I'm trying to set various goals and implement them, but it does not lead to action.

If you self-disclosure what you want to do and write it on a blog, people who support you and give advice will give comments.

That alone motivates me a lot, but I often don't get into action.

Then, in the end, if someone pushes the action,

It's me.

What it means is that exercise leads to action.

I run habitually, but when I exercise, it secretes serotonin and dopamine, which makes me super positive.

If you start exercising while wondering what to do and how to do it, you will be motivated by the end of the exercise.

Now I repeat this.

Here's what I thought about while exercising yesterday.
  • What should I write on Mandala-chart?
  • I'm writing an English blog with automatic translation, but I wonder if I can write it more efficiently.
  • I wonder if Slack, an online chat tool, can be used for anything.
I was thinking about this.

When I came back, I proposed to share information with the fellow online community immediately on Slack.

In this way, my behavior loop is a pattern of clarifying goals to some extent, receiving Nudges from blogs, etc., and then exercising to be encouraged by myself and acting.

This behavior pattern, which I started in the middle of March, is only one month old, but I'm getting more results than I expected.
  • Blog posts continued for one month every day.
  • For an English blog that I thought was difficult, I posted it for more than a week.
  • The video uploaded to YouTube continues in both Japanese and English.
Next, I'm looking for more communication with the fellow online community on Slack.

Instead of seeking short-term comfort, I have focused on doing something for myself in the mid-to-long term.

Looking at this post, I am glad that Nudge works even a little.
