How do you all proceed with Danshari?

Danshari is a Japanese word that means decluttering or minimalism.

Since my house is small, I can't create my place or workspace without cleaning up things.
Therefore, if you decide that you do not need it, immediately put it up for sale, give it up, or throw it away.

It is Danshari, but the criteria for determining what is not needed are as follows.

  • Items that have not been used for the past year
  • What you use to stop (games, etc.).
  • Just as a smartphone has the functions of a camera and a phone, those that initially have different features can be combined into one.
  • Two or more objects have the same purpose.

Until now, I had a camera and a video camera, but if you have a smartphone, you can satisfy the essential functions of the camera and video camera.
Recent smartphones can take beautiful pictures, and if you don't need such features as telephoto lenses, smartphones are enough.
The same applies to video cameras, and the children who were shooting with video cameras became adults, and there was nothing left to shoot.

The fact that there are two or more items with the same function makes me like Bluetooth items, but when I noticed, there were a lot of speakers and earphones.

I sold all of these things last fall.

However, I am a little worried about things that combine functions, such as smartphones, but if one function fails, it will be a problem.
If only the camera fails, if the communication module fails, it is no longer usable.

The weakness of my Danshari is that things don't break, or if they break, you can buy them immediately.

Concentration and distribution of functions.

Up until now, I have been thinking about reducing the number of things by consolidating functions.
But I felt that I have to think about the distribution and redundancy of functions, taking into account a little that I could not use it due to a failure.

It's natural to think about this when it to job, but when it's about myself, it's opportunistic because it only affects me.

It may have been too concentrated on Danshari.
I realized that it is also necessary to store some things, given the unpredictability.
